We've noticed some competitive praying and prayers with bad theology and so instead of complaining, I'll use these moments to remind myself to pray.
God of all people and situations, encourage me when I am discouraged in my context, remind me to give to those I think worse off, pray for those I think better off, and love those that may discourage me in the first place. Thank you for abiding with me in every situation and for gracefully rebuking me in my stubbornness and arrogance. Lord, continually remind me of the beautiful gift of your son. Amen.
